Ryan started school on Wednesday.  It's hard to believe but he is my big Kindergartner!  He said his first day was great!  They went on an adventure because the little gingerbread boy fell out of the book.  So they looked in the cafeteria, the library, the computer lab, the playground and all kinds of other places around the school trying to find him.  They finally discovered he had jumped back in the book.  Today, his second day, Ryan said they didn't go on any adventures but he learned about the letter "L" and he got to climb on the rock wall in P.E.
Evan starts preschool in another week.  When we went to the "Meet the Teacher" night at Ryan's school Evan had a hard time understanding why his name wasn't on the floor and on the table and on the homework trays, and everywhere else.  He wanted to go to school too!  On Ryan's first day of school Evan walked away from the school and sadly said, "why my best friend have to go to school all the time?"  His longing for his best friend, Ryan, was short lived though.  That afternoon Nana asked if he was ready for Ryan to come home from school to which he answered, "no."

Ryan sure does love Nana's kitty.  I'm glad she likes him too because he sure is giving her a lot of new life experiences.

The kids and I created a habitat for our new baby toad.  Nana gave us a toad.  Ryan found another baby toad this morning so we added him/her to the tank too.  Yesterday we went to the lake and the boys and I scooped up some little fish.  We were hoping they were tadpoles but they weren't.  They thought they needed those in the tank too.  So now we have a tank with 2 baby toads, 2 grasshoppers, several tiny fish and some miscellaneous creatures that like to hide in the grass or the water.  Now all we need is to find something to feed our poor hungry creatures.
